TheGameJar: Year Two

TheGameJar: Year Two

Another year has passed for TheGameJar. I always find it odd to look back and wonder where all the time went. Our annual relives the best parts of our second year of existence – with each member of the team, past and present in the last 12 months, showcasing their finest work.

We’ve got two versions for you: one super awesome interactive version for iBooks on the iPad/Mac (please only download this version if you will read it on your iPad – the file is a HUGE 368.8mb!) and another slightly less interactive, but no less awesome, PDF version (recommended – 26.6mb). Not only have we almost doubled our writing force, but have also created more amazing content than ever before! Our community has almost doubled, and with so many of our readers interacting with the site and on social media, it wouldn’t be right to not thank you all. It really is so humbling to see how the site is growing, and it’s all thanks to our readers and our team.

Our picnic of 2013 was a great success, and I’d like to personally thank every single person that turned up to enjoy a day in the sunshine with us. We will be organising another for 2014 too, so we hope to see you there!

We were also shortlisted for the Games Blog award at the GMAs – something that was both completely unexpected and very exciting. Thank you to anyone and everyone that nominated TheGameJar – we were truly honoured to be a part of it.

With some amazing articles and video content currently in the works, I can already see our third year being an amazing one.

From everyone on TheGameJar team, thank you for joining us on our adventures, and we hope to entertain you for years to come!
