January 2013 Video Game Release Dates

So December was a bit naff for games, not a single one worth mentioning. Luckily January is a little better and gets 2013 off on the right foot, though here still isn’t much due. Just as well really – we don’t have any money left.

11th January 2013

Anarchy Reigns

Xbox 360, Playstation 3

Set in the post-apocalyptic future, this is an over-the-top close combat fighting game, set in a massively open and fantastical world. Pick from an imaginative mix of human and cyborg characters and set out on a multiplayer melee where anarchy reigns. With a diverse range of multiplayer modes on offer, Anarchy Reigns pits players against each other in a variety of team or individual versus battles.

DMC Devil May Cry

Xbox 360, PlayStation 3

Detailing Dante’s early years and set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC Devil May Cry will retain the stylish action, fl uid combat and self- assured protagonist that have defi ned the iconic series but inject a more brutal and visceral edge. The Dante of DmC is a young man discovering and coming to terms with what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel. This split personality has a major impact on gameplay with Dante being able to call upon angel and demon abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly to dramatically affect both combat and movement.

24th January 2013

Strike Suit Zero

As my time with Strike Suit Zero came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel that I wanted more time with the game. I wanted to fully test out the other ships, work out what my favourite weapon fittings were, find all the game’s little secrets. Alas, time was against me, and I had to stop playing and start writing. I really liked Strike Suit Zero, I was pleased to see that the game wasn’t all about lush visuals, and that it had some tactical depth to it.

25th January 2013

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

PlayStation 3

The tale of a young boy named Oliver, who embarks on a journey into a parallel world to become a magician in an attempt to bring his mother back from the dead. Along the way, Oliver makes new friends and adopts many of the wonderful creatures that inhabit the world, raising them to battle other creatures on his behalf as he takes on formidable enemies.

Hey if you ever find / make a pattern for a Mr drippy knitting / crocheting I’d be very interested, trying to get relatives wiser in these arts to make one but its unanimous that they can’t do it with no pattern!

Also if anyone hasn’t preordered yet, cheapest price for the standard edition is 30.99 from Tesco direct http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ni-no-kuni-wrath-white-witch-for-ps3-pre-order-30-99-with-code-tesco-direct-1456627

Also the European wizards edition was still in stock at amazon.de the wizards companion book and the game are in English, though the writing on the box is German, from what the Bancorp Twitter account says there are no more out there.

I’m hoping to crochet a Mr Drippy doll soon, so I’ll try and take notes of my design (although I usually just make them up as I go along so it might not be of any use). Will post pictures I’m sure once it’s made :)
